RAK Central: Building Ras Al Khaimah’s Next Business District

Ras Al Khaimah is entering a new phase of growth with the launch of RAK Central, a master-planned business district developed by Marjan that is set to become the emirate’s commercial heart. The project is a central part of Ras Al Khaimah’s Vision 2030 strategy and reflects the emirate’s ambition to attract international businesses, increase tourism activity and position itself as a leading destination for business, lifestyle and long-term investment.

RAK Central is located on Sheikh Mohammed bin Salem Al Qasimi Street, providing direct access to the E-11 highway and panoramic views across Al Hamra Golf Club and the Arabian Gulf. Its proximity to Al Marjan Island, RAKEZ Free Zone and Al Hamra Mall places it at the centre of a rapidly developing corridor that is already attracting strong interest from corporates, investors and developers.

The district spans approximately 3.1 million square metres of land with around 8.3 million square feet of gross floor area. Once complete, it will deliver about three million square feet of Grade A office space, more than 4,000 residential apartments and four hotels with over 1,000 keys. The project is designed to accommodate more than 6,000 professionals and create a self-contained work-live-play environment that blends business, residential and leisure uses in a single destination.

All core infrastructure has now been completed, including roads, utilities, landscaping, green spaces and cycle tracks, enabling sub-developers to commence construction across the site. The RAK Central HQ Office Complex, which will form the commercial anchor of the district and provide Ras Al Khaimah’s first dedicated Grade A business hub, is currently under construction and is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027.

Since its launch in January 2024, all development plots within the masterplan have been sold, underlining strong confidence in the project and the wider Ras Al Khaimah market. The offices are being delivered to Gold LEED standards and are expected to attract international corporates, professional services firms, logistics companies and regional headquarters seeking high-quality space in an investor-friendly environment.

Together with Al Marjan Island and the upcoming Wynn integrated resort, RAK Central is positioned as one of the key pillars supporting Ras Al Khaimah’s next phase of economic expansion. By combining premium office infrastructure with residential, hospitality and lifestyle components, the district is set to play a central role in reshaping the emirate into a recognised centre for business, tourism and modern urban living.
