What we collect

Box number, e-mail address and phone number), passport and other identification numbers, financial and credit card information, personal description, gender, post code, preferences and interests, legal data (such as information about property, assets, marital information, trade secrets), company details or other information relevant to preparing a document, Will or form or providing a service or product. We may also collect the information of third party individuals as necessary to assist you in preparing your Will, document or other form, such as (without limitation) information in relation to beneficiaries and executors of a Will, guardians and relevant minor children under a Will, shareholders and directors of a company and other information.
- Information we collect about you.With regard to each of your visits to our Site we may automatically collect the following information:
(i) technical information, including the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet, your login information, browser type and version, time zone setting, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform;
(ii) information about your visit, including the full Uniform Resource Locators (URL) clickstream to, through and from our Site (including date and time); products and/or information you viewed or searched for; page response times, download errors, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information (such as scrolling, clicks, and mouse-overs), and methods used to browse away from the page and any phone number used to call our telephone number.
(iii) All credit/debit card details will NOT be stored, sold, shared (other than with the providers of our payment gateway mechanism), rented or leased by us to any third parties.

- in any other way we may describe when you provide the information.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to mitigate unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place physical, electronic and managerial procedures in respect of the information we collect online.

We will not, however, disclose any information to third parties that you upload to our Site in relation to (i) any bequests under your DIFC Will; (ii) any identification numbers (including Emirates ID numbers and passport numbers); (iii) any birthdates (iv) any information provided other than in relation to you or your spouse (i.e. in relation to your executors, your guardians, your children or your witnesses), unless we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data as set out below.
We may also disclose your personal information to third parties:
- in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;
- if Banks Legal or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets;
- if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and other agreements, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Banks Legal, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction; and/or
- should Banks Legal be appointed as an Executor under your Will, for the purposes of discharging obligations and duties in accordance with any relevant laws.

Where we store your personal data
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology.
Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our Site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our Site; any transmission is at your own risk.
